It’s amazing how something seemingly banal as disposable bags could fascinate me, but that’s exactly what happened at the National Museum. It was a collection of paper and plastic bags from iconic stores like Robinsons, Cold Storage and even Yaohan! But what really had me excited was seeing my Grandma’s bridal shop–Sylvia Kho–on display, with that familiar portrait of a lady against a white background.

Has anyone see this? Back in the 80′s SIA had this kids club open for those who traveled a certain number of times with them. Dad was with the Tourism Promotion Board at the time, and I suppose I ‘clocked’ enough flight hours to enroll in the club.
All this came in a mail, containing this pin and certificate conferring my flight status. Don’t know if I actually wore it during my subsequent trips, but I do remember this being the first pin I ever collected
